AFFORDABLE CARE ACT PLANS (ACA)

• We will assist you with the application process for individuals and family insurance through Healthcare.gov  (often referred to as “the marketplace”)
• We can help you find a plan that meets your needs and budget (there are over 80 plans to choose from)
• No exclusions or limitations for pre-existing conditions
• The cost of these plans may be discounted based on your income.  Further subsidies available at certain income levels.

When can you apply?

• Each year from 11/1 through 12/15 is annual enrollment for plans starting 1/1 the following year.
• Within 60 days of losing other creditable coverage.   
• If you move to Arizona(or change cities within Arizona)  and are losing coverage from your previous location.

NON-ACA HEALTH  INSURANCE OPTIONS

These are plans offered by private insurance companies and are outside of the  Healthcare.gov ACA plans – not subject to the requirements of ACA plans.

• With most of these plans, you are subject to health underwriting
• These plans may exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions
• These plans MAY be more affordable if you don’t qualify for a tax credit (income based rate reduction) on the marketplace.
• There are some fixed indemnity options available
